Tomatoes and Magpies

how do I tell you?

Now.

is the right time for me

oh, how I have grown-

can you see it, too?

pick me!

others have stood
on the vine
in the wind
by my side
together- yet,
alone
where will you place
your fingers
to choose me away-
or will I stay
and fall to the ground?

  11. I love the human qualities you've assigned to the tomatoes! We probably feel the same way..."pick me, Pick me!" Loved this :)

  12. if it were up to me...all of those tarty little tomatoes would rot on the vine or drop to their death onto the ground. I can't stand tomatoes, but a nice magpie. :)
