Across the Road in America

Want to go for a ride? Come on, let's go!

Through the trees of Idaho.

Past a Main Street within the Midwest,

by the church sitting on the corner.

To the countryside, where old barns lean,

and a rusty gates stands,

near the old railway station.

Check out the knick-knacks!

Let's grab a snack.

Red Bull anyone?

Uh-oh, looks like a thunder bumper,

and a little bit of rain.

Finally, some blue skies-

and wide open spaces!

Mama Reads! Sweet Mysteries

The winds blow harsher, the clouds are dark and we feel the transformation beginning... What to do ? We cannot win- something bigger than ourselves is at work. So we surrender graciously and say goodbye to summer reading and ferret out the novels, books, and paperbacks that put a little tingle down our spines-- mystery books! That tingle down my back is often accompanied by a chuckle, a craving for the biggest blueberry muffin, followed by tons of exotic teas, decaffeinated coffee, and a great desire to join a renaissance faire in South Carolina and learn medieval basket weaving! Why such diverse desires? Here are a few enjoyable mystery book titles and their authors...
